Karen Cohen is a British makeup and hair supervisor. She began working in makeup and hair on British film and television projects in the 1990s, including The Madness of King George (1994) and The Vicar of Dibley (1994), as well as feature films such as Gladiator (2000) and Bridget Jones's Diary (2001).
Throughout the 2000s, Cohen built a broad portfolio across genres, including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005), Children of Men (2006), Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007), and The King's Speech (2010). During this period, she frequently worked on second units, daily crews, and crowd teams. Her television work includes episodes of Poirot (1989) and Silent Witness (1996), where she served as a makeup artist over multiple seasons.
By the early 2010s, Cohen had moved into senior and supervisory roles on major international productions. Her credits include work on Thor: The Dark World (2013), Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), World War Z (2013), and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018), often overseeing makeup and hair departments or supervising crowd and prosthetics teams. She continued to contribute to high-profile franchise films such as Justice League (2017), Wonder Woman 1984 (2020), and Pokémon: Detective Pikachu (2019).
In the 2020s, Cohen served as hair and makeup supervisor on productions including Eternals (2021), Jurassic World: Dominion (2022), Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023), Heart of Stone (2023), and Wicked (2024), Wicked: For Good (2025) and Avengers: Doomsday (2026).
